All data from Stathead. The first graph shows the year by year total of the number of guys aged 38+ who had 400+ PAs and at least a 100 OPS+
The next table is the same thing but for guys 22 and younger.
This graph has Number of players aged 22 or younger each year since 1998 with 400+ PAs and at least a 100 OPS+ MINUS the same for guys aged 38+. The younger guys are starting to outnumber the older guys.
