World Series Winners Who Had An OPS Differential Of .200+ In The Division Series, The League Championship Series And The World Series

I had bases.chat, the AI program created by SABR member Ted Ingram, find all of the data in the table below. Then I verified the data at Baseball Reference.

The only two teams to pull this off are the 2005 White Sox and the 2007 Red Sox. They are both highlighted in red in the table. Also, if you add up their differentials from each series the Red Sox have 0.872 while the White Sox have .690. Those are the two highest totals.

So you could say that those two teams had the most dominant post-seasons since 1995. The Red Sox total is much higher than the one for the White Sox but the White Sox lost only one game while the Red Sox lost three. Chicago's only loss was in the ALCS while all three for Boston also came in the ALCS. Boston had two games when their opponent had a higher OPS (again, both in the ALCS) while Chicago had only one (in the division series against Boston).

The numbers in each column are the OPS differentials that each team had for each series.
