Are The Rockies The Best Hitting Team In Baseball?

ESPN said they were during highlights of Kershaw's no-hitter. It is true that they have the highest team average of .281. But this game was in LA and the Rockies are hitting only .237 in road games this year (it is .330 at home-last year their split was .293H and .246R).

The Rockies are 8th in wRC+. It gives a different weight for outcomes like singles, doubles, etc. Each event is multiplied by a different coefficient or run value. This gets summed and divided by PAs (or something close to it). Fangraphs reports this measure. Some links about it are at the end of this post.

wRC+ is also set up so 100 is average (although the average this year is 96.1). It is park adjusted, too. Here are the top 10 teams:
